Riello 🇮🇹

Italia · est. 1922 · Legnago (Verona) · Carrier/UTC 2015 · Ariston Group since 2026

Riello is the great heating dynasty of Veneto: the Officine Fratelli Riello were founded in 1922 in Legnago (Verona), by Pilade Riello and his brothers to manufacture burners, and from that same family Giordano Riello would emerge in 1961, founder of Aermec. The parent company grew with diesel and gas burners, wall‑mounted and floor‑standing boilers, solar energy and, later, heat pumps and air‑conditioning units, grouping brands such as Beretta, Sylber, Thermital and the British Vokèra. In 1991 it received the Compasso d'Oro, Italy’s most important design award.

In 2015 the group was bought by United Technologies and in 2020, with the split of UTC, it became Carrier Global. It was a short stage: on December 16, 2025 Carrier agreed to sell it to Ariston Group for about 430 million dollars, and the transaction closed on July 1, 2026, returning Riello to Italian hands. With about 700 employees and 370 million euros in revenue (2021), Riello maintains plants in Italy, Poland, China and the Americas. For the classic climate enthusiast, Riello is above all the name that appears on the burner of a thousand boilers and on not a few fan coils and commercial chillers.
